to 9
The boxes began as a simple and entirely intuitive observation of additions of shapes and colours. The pleasure of manipulating pure colour in the form of papier-maché. A game - because they can be arranged in any sense - they have no finite order . They can be hung in a line or as pairs - i.e. nos. 8 and 1, 7 and 2, etc. They can be hung in a rectangle as in a traditional picture. If you use all eight possibilities of each box and turn or move one box every day, the picture will change for 134217728 days or 3677.198 centuries ! Why 9 ? 9 is a number that interests me for its apparently strange and, to me, incomprehensible properties. For example, it contains all the other numbers - which when taken in pairs also add up to 9.-.i.e. 8+1, 7+2, 6+3, 5+4. When multiplied with any other number the root number remains 9 - e.g.
multiples of 9 ), the new sum total retains the root property of
the original number . For instance :
9 is the number numerologically of endings and preparation for new
beginnings, a new cycle. It is the number of humanity and big projects.
I can expand a lot more on this subject as it makes me dream. I hope
that the boxes will do the same for you. |
